Who’s Who at the Emmys

Overall RatingNo Ratings

Only part of the fun of the Emmy Awards (which air this coming Sunday at 8:00pm ET on CBS, by the way), is in the awards themselves--the other part’s in watching the show’s celebrity presenters wear bad formal clothes and crack teeth-clenchingly bad prescripted jokes. Here’s a quick guide to some of the top presenters to look for; here’s hoping the poor guys don’t embarrass themselves too badly.

Hosting the event will be Bryant Gumbel, the veteran newscaster, sportscaster and Today Show host.

He’ll be joined by a star-studded array of presenters, notably the dynamic duo of X-Files heartthrobs Gillian Anderson (also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series) and David Duchovny (who gets two nominations, for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series), diminutive Spin City star Michael J. Fox and The Larry Sanders Show’s Garry Shandling ( both of whom also are nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series). And look for veteran Murphy Brown actress Candice Bergen and Seinfeld star Jerry Seinfeld as well.
