The Spring meetings of wireless alternative 2008The Internet has become the tool of modern communication unavoidable. Many areas of rural France can not be served by operators of traditional wire line networks. Some alternatives exist, which have proved their worth, and throughout France groups (associations, micro-operators, municipal …) are working to connect our citizens to the fabric. They exchanged their findings and methods in the spirit of open-source software.


They have taken the habit of being physically each year to share a few days, their passion and advance their knowledge in the service of all. The molten computers and the Internet will work together for four days, bringing together many members of the rural network: RAN operators and the Federation France-Wireless, coming from France. The Spring Meetings of alternative networks without son will be held this year from 1 to May 4, Saint Bresson in the Gard. The Municipality has established an Internet network shared, @ saintbresson.net, with the support of the association Montpellier-Wireless.
To submit a solution to link high-speed Internet operational, the Mayor of Saint Bresson and the President of Montpellier-Wireless are pleased to invite you:
Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 16:30 the room Holiday Saint Bresson (Gard).
From 14 am 30, equipment and structure of the alternative network will be presented. Field visits show the qualities of the plant, a true prototype high-speed networks possible in our campaigns. The legal and regulatory frameworks of these projects, the economic aspects will also be discussed. At 18h, we meet around a-Apéritif debate.
