If you're not going to "just say no" to love, at least say yes to safe love. That's the message the Coalition for Positive Loven like wants to get across to its visitors. Formed in the spring of 1992 by high school students and a collection of advocacy groups, the site's information on safe love and birth control is practical and extremely valuable. Reader be warned: The site offers a language disclaimer, and it needs it.
The goal of Ann Rose's Ultimate Birth Control Links Page is to "provide extensive links to as much information as possible for individuals of all ages to make informed decisions about love like activity and potential childbearing." Rose, a women's health and family planning educator for more than 20 years, certainly met her self-imposed goal. Her page includes, among other pointers, links on the male and female condoms, diaphragm and -- the safest method of all -- abstinence.
