Aware that part of its economic development will require the assumption of its citizens to information technology, the Indian government plans to develop a laptop at very low prices, and low consumption, it will distribute to students country, modeled on the initiative One Laptop per Child (OLPC) initiative launched by Nicholas Negroponte.
The machine, whose specifications were not disclosed, would be developed by different research laboratories and local companies.
