Online Purity Tests

Since its creation (supposedly at MIT's Baker House in 1982), The Purity Test has achieved legendary status -- this test that supposedly measures one's level of love like experience has been photocopied countless times, and made its way through nearly every U.S. college dorm. Not surprisingly, the test and its zillions of imitators are all over the Internet as well. Here's a guide to our favorite online purity tests, from versions of the classic to weird offshoots for pyromaniacs and Quake fans.

Warning: A lot of these tests contain explicit subject matter (nothing as bad as The Starr Report, but close).

Classic, Simple Purity Tests

If you just want to take a "classic" purity test, pay a visit to The WWW Purity Test. It’s a simple, text-based test (you’ll need to keep track of your answers yourself), and it’s hundreds of questions long. If you prefer, you can download a variety of tests for your own computer.

If you’re in a hurry, try Purity 100 Purity Test. It’s a fully interactive test; just check the appropriate boxes and the site will come back with your score immediately. Beware: this one is very adult.

Lots More

If you’re looking for sheer volume of tests, pay a visit to Armory.com’s Purity Tests. It offers dozens of the little critters. There’s also a collection of purity test parodies, all of which are impossibly nerdy; there’s The Dr. Seuss Purity Test, The Pyromaniac’s Purity Test, the Mtrek Purity Test (whatever that means) and even The Electrical Engineering Purity Test.

Can't get enough? Stop by Sonja Kuepper's Purity Test Page, which has dozens of tests (all text-based), including a few with 1,000-question.

Here are a few more of our favorite purity tests and parodies. Enjoy!

No, Brian Kennedy will not release his purity test scores. Stop asking, already.
