After Dell at Carrefour since last January, it’s time for Lenovo to make its entry in a sign of major retailers. The Chinese group Auchan has chosen to distribute four machines: a desktop (K100), and three laptops (two variants of IdeaPad Y710 and Y510). Previously, Lenovo was present at Surcouf, or Rue Du Commerce Planet Saturn stores.
“It was important for Lenovo to choose a major player in global distribution such qu’Auchan, known for providing innovative products and quality,” said Jean-Michel Donner, CEO of Lenovo France.
The four machines will be marketed as soon as March 26 in the 121 Auchan hypermarkets. The company already offers of Acer, Apple, Asus, HP, Packard-Bell, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba.
Note that the Linux PC Lenovo is not part of the list of machines proposed by Auchan. Contacted by ZDNet.fr, teaches us that for the moment there was no project in this direction.
