Combining action-based gameplay with basic puzzles (usually involving box stacking/pushing) and an RPG combat system, Mr. Robot aims to bridge the gap between genres. It does an admirable job and manages to pull everything together into an extremely interesting and entertaining game. The price of admission?
Acclimating to a slightly odd control scheme (fortunately it’s customizable), a few uninteresting/repetitive puzzles, and getting used to a complex combat system. Fortunately it all evens out after you sink some time into the game and ends up being smooth sailing from there on out. Moonpod did a fantastic job with the visuals, they have a very warm and cozy feel, even though you’re a robot on a space ship in the future.
