Google is the second search engine behind Yahoo in Japan but intends to become the first mobile search engine locally. When the world’s number one Internet search combines the number one Japanese mobile operators, it creates a partnership between Google and NTT DoCoMo to develop their respective incomes through mobile advertising. After rumors of partnership between the two entities that run since the end of last year, is now done.
The 48 million customers mobile internet DoCoMo will have the opportunity soon to mobile services of Google, the search (Google Search) e-mails (GMail) via other associated services such as video (You Tube) or sharing d ‘images (Picasa). The goal for the operator is proposing new features to its customers while reducing its development costs and increasing revenues through a market for mobile advertising booming. Both companies also provide that the market should represent them in the near future as much as 10 billion yen of revenue, or about 65 million euros. In contrast, Google and NTT DoCoMo did not specify how these would be apportioned income. Note that the two entities will also soon launch mobile operator platform Android while Google has already forged a partnership in the world of mobile Internet with KDDI, the second Japanese mobile operator.
