Internet terminals (MID) due in 2008In recent months, the Taiwanese HTC is well discreet on new brand products that should see the day this year. Partnering with Google and its system Android, are one or two terminals equipped with this mobile OS to be available this year in some regions of the world. But it also appears that new smart phones should quickly be put on the market including one bearing the code name “Diamond.” According to the webzine digitizes, “HTC Diamond” is expected to be launched during the second quarter of 2008.



And according to our information, it would be the successor of the HTC Touch “with different embedded technologies, 3G + GPS via a user interface updated. Along with this new smart phone, HTC would ally with Intel to develop a new line of “mobile Internet terminals (MID: mobile Internet device). This would allow the brand to dissociate themselves from the UMPC platform already used for “HTC Shift” or “HTC Athena” including operator rather than an ARM platform but a mobile platform of Intel (x86).
The first MID developed by HTC should see the day in the course of this year. Finally, the company released its latest financial results with a turnover of 313.7 million dollars in February, down 19.90% compared to January but up 45.9% compared to last year .
