Though it can be a bit on the rainy side, Seattle is one of the most aesthetically pleasing U.S. cities. Located on beautiful Puget Sound, Seattle has a thriving music scene (Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden all hail from the Emerald City), serves up a mean cup of joe and is home to some really big technology companies. It's like having a hipster, flannel-wearing cousin (sorry, stereotypes die hard) who lives in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle.
- Trippin' Out Seattle Trippin' Out is a travel 'zine and is the brainchild of a talented and three-dimensional woman named Kelly. Visit Trippin' to get a feel for where to stay, eateries, bars and an events calendar.
- Seattle.com This Seattle directory has a nice arty design and an emphasis on alternative, community-based activities. Highly recommended.
