Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) and Inventions have a complete IT solution for mid-sized companies. It includes server hardware and IT infrastructure management and user software for management. The Berlin administration will soon be equipped with workstations equipped with a combination of Microsoft and Linux solutions. To develop the IT service centre Berlin (ITDZ) together with Linux specialists a combined application that understands both worlds, and only the gains can be united. The ITDZ wants to work for the public service in the state capital with open-source and Microsoft solutions to equip and attacks on applications from Microsoft Germany and the Linux Information Systems AG. This will ensure that the technical and economic requirements of the Berlin administration. The developing job solution must be in their basic functions which a Microsoft solution. In a brief statement released Monday, the Linux Foundation said: “while most of the devices have open source drivers, there are a few exceptions. The community supports the kernel (Editor’s note: kernel at the heart of distributions operating system free and open GNU / Linux) wants to send a clear signal to these suppliers and also prevent future suppliers to opt for the closure of code and, by extension, to prevent users to benefit from the Linux development model open. A few days after the announcement of Palm to develop its own Linux operating system for smart phones, it is the turn of Japanese Access - which bought the company Palm Source editor of the Palm OS system - to announce its offensive against the market for operating systems for mobile devices. A few months before the release of its system ALP stands for Access Linux Platform, Access wants to recruit new developers publishing today a first version of a kit compatibility Garnet VM. Announced since the end of the year 2006, the mobile phone “Open Moko Neo 1973″ developed by Taiwanese FIC is now available for sale for the biggest amateur solutions GNU / Linux embedded. During the launch of this smart phone called FIC Neo1973, Funambulist, a company specializing in the development of mobile applications announced integration into the terminal after the first open source for use with its Linux operating system. Virtualization has the wind in their sails! Casio has selected Xen, technology incorporated into Suse Linux Enterprise Server operating system and open published by Novell. With Xen, the Japanese electronics group has chosen to optimize its nfrastructure (to run multiple virtual servers running Windows and Linux on a minimum of physical servers) without straining its budget. The free software community can breathe since a U.S. federal court has just returned SCO in its pentads. It is important to remember that SCO has serious claims on Unix, the operating system developed in the years 1970 and served as a basis for the development of Linux, a free operating system and therefore free. That is why initiatives giant search engines are proliferating in the area.
