In handling terms, it’s very much like a traditional arcade racer. To think that a console first person shooter can survive in this day and age on multiplayer alone is a bit of a stretch. Sure, the prospects of a Huxley– at least when we first heard about it five or so E3’s ago– sound interesting, whereby a MMO turns from RPG to FPS. We aren’t there yet, however.

Moonpod’s newest RPG adventure game has zapped up a lot of my computer gaming time. It’s as engaging as it is fun and it’s not often that PC gamers get that kind of combination from a 3D RPG that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. There’s numerous platform puzzles and tons of classic JRPG battle encounters and leveling, which gives the game an air of multiple genres. Continue reading »
Combining action-based gameplay with basic puzzles (usually involving box stacking/pushing) and an RPG combat system, Mr. Robot aims to bridge the gap between genres. Super awesome fun times ahoy! There are really two games here. One is Final Fantasy set inside a computer, and the other is a sort of isometric action Sokoban, with jumping. They way they integrate is good, and the game is a huge adventure that really keeps you moving forward and in sight of new goals all the time. Continue reading »
