If you are an Internet news junkie, but you don’t necessarily want to have it pushed to your desktop or e-mailed to you, there are a variety of Internet news sites that you can bookmark and check at your leisure. Below, you will find my Internet news bookmarks. I check them in the morning when I come in, sometimes at lunch and at the end of the day before I leave.
Internet news. COM, which is a branch of Mecklermedia’s Internet. COM, is an obvious place to start. It offers a no-frills list of the day’s Internet headlines. In addition, you can access news specific to Internet advertising and Internet news. If you want Internet news fast with few bells and whistles, you will appreciate Internet news. COM.
CNET’s News. COM also serves up the day’s technology headlines, but it also sports links to breaking news, compelling headlines from other websites and longer CNET features.
Technology powerhouse Ziff-Davis is another obvious place to look for Internet news. The company’s mega ZDNet site has all of the breaking Internet headlines as well as links to features and articles from all of Ziff-Davis’ publications and online ventures.
CMPnet, which is Net Guide’s parent site, offers up daily technology news, insider gossip and links to all of the CMP publications and online products.
If Macintosh Internet news is what you seek, look no further than Tidbits, which is a weekly electronic newsletter that covers news and views relating to the Internet and the Mac. You can read the day’s news, search back issues or tap into a variety of other Mac resources.
