Everybody claims to hate lawyers, but if the phenomenal success of John Grisham is any indication, we sure do like reading about them. An ex-lawyer himself, the Mississippi-raised author knows what he's writing about. And he's making even more cash than the legal-eagle characters in his works; with his newest book, The Partner, still tearing up the sales charts, past best-sellers such as The Firm and The Client to his credit, and two movies in the works The Runaway Jury and
And not surprisingly, you'll find dozens of sites about the man on the Web. The official site by Doubleday is a great place to start looking for Grisham information; you'll find a wealth of details about the author himself, as well as audio and text excerpts from his works. There are also some wonderful fan pages from Sweden and Switzerland, and a brief homage by, um, Scooter the Talking Dog. Understandably proud of its alumnus, Mississippi State University has composed an excellent tribute page to the author; and if you'd like to discuss the author's work with fellow fans, try the newsgroup alt.books.john-grisham.
